Richard Triplet

Richard is one of the leading characters. He's rich, good looking, intelligent, sucessful. He likes hiking, swimming, canoeing, caving and rock climbing. Favours most sports but cricket which bores him silly. He's also described as a 'spoilt rich boy.'

He's known Donna since he was a child but years have past since they were first in contact with each other. He remembers her as a great friend with similar interests and not wanting, like other girls, to play with dolls. 

By profession he's a biochemist specialising in virology.

Don't ask him to sing anything; like John he appreciates good music and won't sing because he can hear himself going out of tune. 

Richard's character is based on wishful thinking - how both Shelia and John would like John to be! Unfortunately John isn't rich, and doesn't own a Mercedes (will a BMW do?)

We envisioned Richard would look something like a young Hugh Grant.
